AMAZING,
I had previously submitted a pretty scathing review of the software, but as it turns out I was having a hardware issue, lol (bum unit). Once I got a replacement, things were much better.
This is the foot controller we’ve all dreamed about for ages. The power and flexibility of this thing is amazing.
My apologies to the folks at KMI for not giving it a proper chance the first time around. There are still little bugs here and there (hence 4 stars and not 5), but nothing that will prevent you from utilizing this fantastic foot controller.
Time to put the FCB1010 in the gear closet, lol.

this pedal is great – hopefully the software will be also great soon,
This thing is amazing! It’s is a huge step beyond what has been available ’til now (FCB-1010, etc).
The Max5 based software still a little buggy (as of Jan-2011, V.1.03) and could be better, and hopefully will be soon if the quality of the pedal is any indication.

Good Customer Service,
My first Softstep had it’s USB joint knocked loose from general wear and tear. I am fortunate enough to live near KMI, and I was able to walk in and be handed a brand new one no questions asked. Without a doubt the easiest time I’ve had with a warranty replacement.
